Good bang for the buck

I was impressed with the quality of the bow for the price. The construction is pretty rugged and the mechanism is solid. the safety is automatic and is easy to disengage. The sights provided shoot high so i ordered a cheap red dot (unfortunatly back ordered). I've only run a few test shots through it but it grouped well. I was able to string it fairly easily with the help of my girlfriend (I pulled the limbs back by hand and had her slip the string on it). It only came with two low quality bolts, i had to glue the inerts in. Overall you get what you pay for. International shipping was good but a bit pricey.

Great little crossbow

The crossbow is stought. The rail is solid and the stock is solid. I'm 6'4" and it feels light enough to be a good bush crossbow, but a little short , but this is a world of 5'9"inchers. I like the simplicity of the recuve. Good for you Zombie folks out there. Not many bow presses in postapocolyptic world. Get a Stringer though it will help. Shoot very true. awsome at 30 yards with enough knock down for small game. Whitetails beware!!!!! or Zombies if you prefer. Solid crossbow, wax your strings and lube it up regular for best perfomance.

Sturdy bow, worthless sights

I've only been target shooting with this crossbow and it seems pretty sturdy for the $79 I paid. The string is not too hard to pull back if you do it right. The thing locks into place good and the holder keeps the arrow in (even when I dropped it once. Ya, I felt stupid). The arrow flight seems pretty consistent too.
Now for the bad part. The sights are worse then worthless. Even taken to their lowest mark, the thing consistently shot about a foot high even at 20 yards. I finally decided it was going in the trash bin since the accuracy is kind of what I wanted one for. Instead I ditched the rear sight and will try and find something else or just line up with the grooves on the rails.
For anyone else buying this. It seems pretty sturdy and shoots good. Just realize the sights are not only worthless but the rail will not go down far enough to properly adjust normal sights.

I must say I was not expecting much from a crossbow that only cost $79 This is one powerful and accurate crossbow.
I was surprised to see the weaver styled scope rails.
The prod on mine is actually measured at 175lbs! so its has plenty of power! The stock feels nice.
Weakness: The open sights are somewhat cheesy; the crossbow shoots about 8" high using the dial-a range. I added a tru-glo red-dot sight. This thing is now scary accurate!
The polyester string sucks!! But it worked for the short period that I was able to test. I ordered and replaced the string with Flemish style string (Excalibur crossbows uses Flemish string as well) and with better crossbow serving. The crossbow shoots a lot quieter and I now I have a cheap well-built hunting rig.
I also replaced the 14" bolts with 2219 16" bolts that can be purchased online. These made a positive difference on impact and I can add a broadhead without it being too short!
