The main purpose of buying a case for your bow is for protection and ease of transportation. There are a few things that you must consider when looking around for your new
archery bow case. First and foremost you need to buy a bow case that is going to fit your bow. After you’ve decided on the size you can decide on the amount of protection that you want. After all, you’ve invested a lot of money into the sport you are passionate about. The last thing you want is for an incident to dampen your day.
Hard vs. Soft
The next step that you must decide on is whether or not you want a case that is hard or soft. Generally
hard cases are used more in the field when you are travelling. There are a whole range of factors that could be beyond your control and put your bow in danger. Some think that “bigger is better,” and swear by their hard cases. The school of thought on hard cases is protecting your investment.
If you are going to be using something for local trips, or simply to take to the range, then you might do very well with a soft case. If you tend to carry them around a lot soft is also the way to go. They are made from durable materials such as canvas and leather. They have become a popular option because of their ability to be effortlessly moved from place to place.
Padding & Extras
After you have made your selection on a hard versus soft case, it is of the utmost importance for you to ensure that there is padding on the inside of the case. It will help to absorb any of the damage that your bow could receive if it was ever dropped. If you can find something that has straps on the inside too, that is definitely a plus, because it will prevent your
bow from moving.
You can also get your cases with some compartments. It eliminates the need to carry around a separate bag for the different equipment that you carry around. Some bags on the market offer compartments that can carry strings or arrows. If you prefer to carry your broadheads, arrows, etc. separately, we also offer those options.
