Archery bow quivers come in many shapes and sizes. These manufacturers make something for every shooting style. If youíre looking for something that will be attached to your bow, then you have two options. You can either go with the two piece quiver, or the one piece detachable quiver. If you are looking for something with a little more maneuverability, then a side or back quiver might be right up your alley. Letís touch on the different options so that you can make a more informed decision.

  • Two-Piece Quiver: This quiver is typically attached to your riser. They are considered to give off the least amount of noise. It is attached to your bow, so you can always catch a glimpse of it in your peripherals, for peace of mind. You must remember that your bow will be slightly heavier because you are adding something on to it.
  • One-Piece Detachable: These are either attached to your riser, or on the top of your sight. The fundamental difference from the two-piece quiver and this one, is that there is some sort of device on the one-piece that allows you to take the quiver on and off very easily. It is for these (added) reasons that it is considered the most popular choice today.
  • Side Quivers: There is something out there for everyone! Side quivers have gained a following by people who do not want something dangling off of their bow. Some consider it cumbersome, or just outright annoying to have their quiver in their field of vision, so to them, side quivers are a no-brainer. Be aware that because they are attached around different regions of your body, they will have a higher probability of getting cause on something.

Every archer has their own preferences, and it is up to them to decide on the setup that they would like. For example, if you are going to be out hunting with your rig, then you are definitely going to need a quiver that can house a larger amount of arrows. If you mainly use it for competitions or practice, then you can choose one that carries fewer arrows. Like many other facets of this sport, the main thing that matters is that you are comfortable with the tools youíve set up for yourself. Choose the right quiver for yourself, and let those arrows take flight!
