Bow sight is an important archery accessory used to take aim at your target. It requires a lot of practice and patience to attain consistent accuracy in aiming and firing arrows, but a quality sight means a lot to any archers.

When you purchase a bow sight, make sure you check the following features:

  • Durability: you can get cheap bow sights made of plastic, which are good for beginners. If you are a serious hunter and hunt a lot, get the sights made up of at least some metal, if not completely metal.
  • Ease of Adjustability: Many bow sights require a wrench to adjust the pins, but sights with large knobs will make your life much easier. Especially when you are out for hunting, you can adjust your windage and elevation without any tools. And it is easy and quick to tweak the sight when the pins are slightly off.
  • Number of Pins: Singe pin or multiple pins. It really depends on your preferences. A single-pin is simple and easier to aim; With a multiple-pin sight, you do not have to adjust it all the time. Just choose the pin and aim.
  • Brightness of Pins: Most pins are made of fiber-optic. You can hunt at night with super bright pins or battery-powered sights.
  • Type of Pins: Vertical, Horizontal or Swinging Pins (useful for treestand hunting only.)
  • Bubble Levels: a build-in bubble level quickly tells you if the bow is torqued
  • Peeps and Kissers: these are optional to increase your accuracy by forcing you to line up with the pin the same way each time.

There are different types of bow sights available in the market. Make your checklist and find the best bow sights within your budget.
