The supression system significantly reduces the vibration noise when firing. However, cross bows regardless of type are MUCH louder than a bow and arrow (compound or other). My only critique is that the peices are heavy. A few ounces at the front of the cross bow makes it feel less balanced. If you don't mind a few extra ounces, go for it!
