This crossbow has a simple drop notch and string lifter trigger that is quite stiff when loaded. The safety is mushy and is difficult to tell if it is on or off by feel. Crossbow suffers from poor accuracy. Hitting a telephone book at 11 yards is about the limit this bow can do consistently, though I'll bet the 2 Fletchings on the bolts contribute to this problem. Note that 3 or greater Fletchings on the bolts are not an option as the channel the bolt rides in is extremely shallow. Stringing the bow, even with 2 people can be a challenge, though once the technique is learned it becomes somewhat easier. Power is reasonably good for this bow. Bolts penetrate about 2/3 of an inch of phone book at point blank range. Price is low, and the bow seems sturdy in all the areas it needs to be. Note that some of the screws came loose after about 40 shots so check often as you shoot or resort to loctite. For the price paid, it's a fun little shooter, though disappointing on accuracy.

I placed my order, got a email saying i will be recieveing another email with info. on the arrival of the crossbows. I had to ask for the information from the store, when i recieved the package not all of the order was there so i called told the person not all of the order was there i was told that she would try and get it out that night and send me conformation which i never did get, until after another phone call was made. To me it seems like only one person works in the store they answer the phone for awhile then put on answering machine then work the live help. not a very good way to run a business.

Hard to string...but...

that was anticipated. What was not anticipated was the 19 days it took for The Crossbow Store to get this order from CA to SC! It was ordered on 12/8, shown as "order processed: ready for UPS on 12/10..but...not shown as picked up until 12/19. How did it take 9 days before UPS picked up the shipment?? Not pleased with shipping, but only time will tell about the crossbow itself. Oh, and y'all wanted me to write a review BEFORE the stupid shipment had even left your warehouse!!

Shopping on the site was a breeze, and the payment options were quite good My only complaint is that I have yet to receive the item I purchased. Paying the shipping costs I did, to have an item shipped internationally, one would hope to actually get what they paid for.
